O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

Code of Conduct

All attendees are requested to uphold the integrity of the Mosque paramount and adhere to the following Codes at all times.

  • Activities considered un-Islamic are strictly prohibited on the premises.
  • Activities violate the laws of the Province of British Columbia are strictly prohibited on the premises.
  • Activities not in accordance with the constitution of the Mosque are strictly prohibited on the premises.
  • No public announcements, speeches, or distribution of printed materials are permitted on the premises.
  • All announcements, or printed material must be approved by the management.
  • No personal or private business or solicitation of any kind shall be conducted on the premises.
  • Only the appointed Imam or his designate(s) can lead congregational prayers.
  • Only the appointed Imam or his designate(s) can coordinate activities of a religious nature.
  • Only the appointed personnel or their designate(s) may make a call for Salaat (Azaan).
  • Foul language is never to be used on the premises.
  • Arguments or other disruptions to the holiness of the Mosque will not be tolerated.
  • No activities, discussion or disruption is permitted during the prayer times.
  • No spitting, yelling, personal disputes, screaming or loud conversations are permitted on the premises.
  • All attendees are required to wear appropriate clothing (covering the body from neck to below knees).
  • Any individual(s), wish to make an overnight stay must obtain an approval from the management.
  • Any individual(s), making an overnight stay are responsible for the cleanliness of the premises.
  • No food or drinks, except during the events which are organized by the management.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere on The Mosque property.
  • The management assumes no liability arising from injuries sustained on the premises.
  • All attendees are responsible for their personal belongings.
  • The management is not liable for loss of any kind.
  • No used furniture or household items are to be dropped-off or kept on the premises.
  • There shall be no public criticism of individual Muslims, Imam, Teachers, or Trustees.
  • Any complaints, suggestions or disputes shall be brought in writing to the management.
  • All suggestions shall be constructive in nature.
  • No member shall defame any member of the society or other Muslims in attendance on the premises.
  • No attendee shall, by word or in writing, be discourteous to another member of the society or attendee.
  • No personal attacks on the character of any board members shall be permitted or tolerated.
  • No meetings, lessons, teachings, parties or games without a written approval of the management.
  • No music, reveling, or dancing is permitted at any time on the premises.
  • No property, books, items or records belonging to the Mosque shall be removed from the premises.
  • Parking is strictly reserved for the attendees of the Mosque during the times when the Mosque is open.
  • No vehicles shall be left on the premises overnight except of those staying overnight.
  • Parents shall keep their children with them so as not to disrupt other attendees during prayers (Salaat).
